When It Rains. “I wish it would stop raining. I wish it would stop raining.” This statement here was on repeat in my head every time it rained. I only said this because out of all the days it would rain it would be on the day I was busy. Oh, it bothered me in many ways. For instance, when… You know what, let me just mention the main one.

Venting starting - THE MAIN ONE. So you’re driving in your car, while it’s raining, and you finally reach your destination. Suddenly, you realize you forgot your umbrella and now you have to make a run for it. Uh, Houston we have a problem. When there is rain, I can guarantee you that there are rain puddles. Imagine running towards the building, and you run through a puddle of rain. Just great! Water has splashed on the back of your pants leg, and better yet your entire body gets damp. This ultimately brings a cold front as soon as you step foot into that building. Congratulations!!! You’ve just created a new dance called, “The Shivers.” -Venting ended. 

However, today I didn't wish for the rain to stop. Instead, I was appreciative of everything around me, especially my family and home. Rain is good. It brings everyone together inside a home, coffee shop, or some type of shelter. The simple aspects of humanity are rediscovered with the brewing of conversations, laughter between strangers, and compliments to one another. I see it as a reminder for the simple things in life. Always remember to smile! :)
